Description
The creek below Havasu Falls contains a vast network of travertine rock terraces as a result of the high calcium carbonate mineral concentration in the water, which is also responsible for the stunning blue color of the water here. One of the most iconic locations in Arizona, access to Supai and these nearby waterfalls deep in the Grand Canyon is tightly controlled. The only way to get here is by helicopter, horse/mule, or a more than 10 mile one-way hike down into the canyon.
