A beautiful iridescent green trainbearer hummingbird (Lesbia nuna) feeding on nectar from bright pink flowers in Ollantaytambo, Peru. This bird species is widely distributed in central and northern Andes from Colombia through Ecuador to Peru, at altitudes between 2500 and 3800 meters, usually in tropical forests or high-altitude shrubland,. The long tail really caught my eye as I had never seen a hummingbird before with such a long tail. Ollantaytambo is the gateway village to Machu Piccu in the Andes.
