Description
"Aboriginal Fire"
A sunset view of Uluru inside Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in the Australian Outback. Also known as Ayers Rock, Uluru is a sacred aboriginal site as well as one of the most iconic natural landmarks in Australia, especially at sunrise and sunset when the sandstone glows a brilliant red color. Located in the southern part of the Northern Territory, the surrounding area is a remote and sparsely populated desert with the nearest significant town of Alice Springs being almost 350km away. Aboriginal people have lived in the area around Uluru and Kata Tjuta for at least 30,000 years.
