Description
A golden-mantled Ground Squirrel (Callospermophilus saturatus) busily eats a lupine flower in the vast alpine wildflower meadows at Paradise in Mount Rainier National Park. One of three national parks in Washington State, wildflowers bloom here in spectacular numbers on the mountain slopes during the summer.
