Artist's Description
A gap in the clouds allowed early morning sun to briefly bathe the canyon in sunlight in this beautiful winter sunrise at the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. The park was inscribed to the UNESCO world heritage list in 1979. The fog and mist broke just minutes before the sun rose, revealing the entire canyon covered in a light dusting of snow. I just love re-visiting the desert landscapes of Utah and Arizona!
