A large wave crashes on the cliffs below the Cape Disappointment Lighthouse during a powerful winter storm coupled with a king tide. It receives about 2,552 hours of fog a year making it one of the foggiest places in the US. Powerful winter storms often bring enormous waves into the Pacific Northwest, as was the case on this particular afternoon.
