Artist's Description
Brilliant red autumn foliage on a famous laceleaf maple tree in Portland's Japanese Garden. This garden in Oregon is widely considered to be the most authentic Japanese garden outside of Japan. In October, the foliage in the garden changes to brilliant reds, oranges, and yellows which draw visitors in from all the Pacific Northwest and even the world. This particular tree, sometimes nicknamed the Tree of Life, is one of the most photographed trees in the world.
