Located in the Finger Lakes close to the picturesque college town of Ithaca, colorful maple trees frame Taughannock Falls in autumn. At 215 feet, the main drop is 33 feet taller than Niagara Falls and one of the the tallest single drop waterfalls in the eastern United States. The popular slogan is "Ithaca is Gorges" comes as a result of the numerous beautiful waterfalls, canyons, and glens found throughout this region of central New York.
